Stratus GPT Training Drives Innovation at Livermore Training Facility

Members recently participated in a hands-on training event at the Livermore Training Facility focused on advancing digital skills in both shop and field operations. The session introduced Stratus GPT software, highlighting its growing role in modern sheet metal fabrication and installation workflows. During the training,  CEO of Stratus Jake Olsen, and director of VDC and technology at the ITI Ron McGuire were present offering support and assisting with software.  Members actively navigated detailed 3D duct assemblies, gaining real-world experience in how digital models translate directly into shop production and field execution.

A major focus of the training was improving efficiency through the use of Stratus tools. Members learned how to streamline the creation of shop orders, ensuring accuracy and consistency from the detailing phase through fabrication. In addition, the training emphasized real-time tracking of both shop and field orders, giving participants insight into how better data management can reduce delays, improve communication, and increase overall productivity.

The integration of Stratus GPT into daily workflows represents a significant step forward in how our trade continues to evolve. By equipping members with advanced digital tools, we are not only improving jobsite performance but also strengthening our competitive edge in an increasingly technology-driven industry.

This training reinforces our commitment to providing members with cutting-edge skills and ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation in the sheet metal industry. More opportunities for training will be offered, and members interested should contact the training facilities for more information.
