Procedure for Renewing an AWS Welder Certification

The following is for Local 104 members in good standing. If you are not a Local 104 member, you are not eligible to proceed.

To renew an existing weld certification, please submit a Welder Renewal Verification Form. Complete all requested information, including the electronic signature of individual who is noted as verifying that you have welded in the welding process of the certification. The individual is only verifying that you have welded in the processes that are identified on the Welder Renewal Verification Form. This individual can be a supervisor or a co-worker that you have witness you perform the weld process. Completed forms will be submitted to Nate Vennarucci for verification.

Welders who maintain their certification with renewals can do so indefinitely without the need for retesting. You do not need to come into a training facility to renew a current weld certification.

For welders who are not employed, or have not actively welded using a previously certified process, please email Nate Vennarucci to schedule a time to verify competency in the process.
